UKPressOnline's newspaper archives are already a much-used resource by the public at subscribing libraries, such as the British Library and Westminster Libraries. Now, ALL public libraries are offered a month's FREE trial to all archives on UKPressonline AND discounts for membership, under an agreement with the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council.

All library members and library staff can have instant, IP-recognised access to search, view and download, save and/or print out the original, as-published pages from the Mirror, Express and Star archives - and they can even do it from home, via the library's own website, using their library cards.

This is completely free to any public library for a month, with no obigation: simply Register from a library email address and email us with the library IP range/s (the local-authority IT department can supply this, or give us a contact and we'll arrange).

If, after a month, you want to go ahead, discounts to UKP's normal Libraries tariff will apply, under the MLA scheme[1]. These discounts are currently 5% but they can rise to 40%, as more libraries subscribe. The tariffs are based on population served by each library; for more details, go to the MLA website.

Workstation literature is also available on request.

  • [1] The MLA, of course, covers only English libraries; UKP would be happy to arrange a similar scheme with any other national body)
