 Warsaw prepares for the Nazis, 1939 |
UKPressOnline is pleased to advise that the complete run of editions and pages of the Daily Express covering the period from the Nazi invasion of Poland in September 1939 to the final Japanese surrender in Hong Kong on September 16 1945 is now available.
The Daily Express archive had been missing a number of editions through the war years and these gaps (in 1940, 1941 and 1943) have now been filled. All available* editions for 1939 to 1945 have now been added and are available to search, read and to download.
*There are three missing editions:
April 11 1941;
March 03 1945;
May 10 1945.
We will continue to look for copies of these editions and will add them if found.
The UKPressOnline archive of the Daily Express covers from the first edition in 1900 to current editions and contains around 825,000 pages.
